The Cheapest Way to Own an iPhone

Now that T-Mobile has introduced their bold contract-free plans that start at $50 and now carry the iPhone, many publications, like the one linked below, are comparing the total cost of iPhone ownership over two years on the major carriers, but the cheapest way to own an iPhone is what my family has been doing for a year or so -- buy a used iPhone and use it on either the Walmart-owned Straight Talk network which offers an unlimited voice, text, and data plan at $45 a month and piggybacks on AT&T's network or, if you don't need unlimited everything, use H2O wireless which offers plans as low as $25 a month and also piggybacks on AT&T's network.
