The Verge reports that Apple's CEO Tim Cook mentioned at AllThingsD that Apple has sold more than 13 million Apple TVs and about half of those this year alone. He also reiterated that the televisions space is "an area of intense interest" and that they have "a grand vision" in place. Looks like Apple's hobby is getting more serious.
