Apple Patent Details Flexible Battery Shape for Future Devices

According to MacRumors, a recent Apple patent details a flexible battery shape for future devices. This flexible shape could work wonderfully for the rumored iWatch -- imagine the battery worked into the wristband, extending battery life far beyond the relative short span of current smart watches. Interesting. Read more via the link below:

How To Work Around The Feedly 'Over Capacity' Bug On iPad

Now that Google Reader has been put out of commission and that Google will erase users' data on July 15th, here's a solid instructional on how to work around the popular replacement Feedly's "over capacity" bug on the iPad.

I'll be writing a summary of all the replacement readers (AOL, Feedly, etc.) soon.

Iconic Thoughts from the iCloud

While I actually like the fresh look of iOS 7 and definitely understand that it's still a beta, I couldn't resist making this comic.

Low Cost iPhone More Likely?

CNET reports that Apple suppliers have been shipping parts for a low-cost iPhone. A low-cost iPhone may make financial sense for Apple. Rather than move the iPhone 4S down to the free-when-subsidized position, they could simplify production and unify products with a lower-cost phone by using a similar screen size and lightning connector rather than the 30-pin connector currently in the iPhone 4S.

27 new iOS 7 features Apple didn't talk about

MacWorld has a great list of iOS 7 features that Apple didn't get into during their keynote. The more details that come out, the more robust the new operating system appears.

iOS 7 Design Info Leaks Hours Ahead of WWDC

The new look and feel has apparently leaked hours before the WWDC conference. iOS 7's icons will apparently sport a look very similar to these flatter, simplified icons. We'll see if this is confirmed in a few hours.

More Proof That the Wii U Basic Is About To Go Extinct, Via Best Buy

Earlier this week it was reported that Nintendo had ordered a "rebalance" of the 8GB Wii U Basic inventory, but, after receiving news that Best Buy has been asked to send back all of their Wii U Basic sets, it looks like that model is soon to be discontinued. Rumors suggest that Nintendo may drop the price of the 32GB model and introduce a white model of the 32GB version like they did in Japan. More will most likely be revealed during Nintendo's big opening E3 online Nintendo Direct presentation on June 11 at 10am ET, 7am PT.

Redesigning the Look of iOS Is Jony Ive’s First Step Towards CEO

Here's an article by Bryan Chaffin at The Mac Observer making a convincing claim that Tim Cook set Jony Ive as the head of iOS's look and feel not only to lead the much needed refresh, but also to train him to eventually fill the role of his successor as CEO.

Apple Confirms iOS 7 and OS X Updates via WWDC banners

Apple confirms iOS 7 and OS X updates via newly posted WWDC banners. The banners have brightly colored icons and thin fonts which might suggest the user interface design changes made under Jony Ive's leadership.

Get a refurbished 1st-gen iPad for $149 shipped | The Cheapskate - CNET News

Want to get an inexpensive iPad? Looks like you can pick up a refurbished 1st generation iPad for $149 shipped. While it's still a solid device that sold for $499 just three years ago, think about the act that it doesn't have a camera, has a slower processor making it unable to run some apps on the AppStore, and there are some pretty solid budget tablets -- albeit Android tablets -- available now with cameras and faster processors for the same price.
